During the toughest season of my life, a friend lent this book to me. On the Anvil didn't just help me deal with the pain, but it helped me understand that there was purpose in it. Broken and overwhelmed, I needed comfort and encouragement. This book provides both. It also explains how the tough times can pull us out of complacency and into hope, action, and victory. This book is easy to read, not only because of word choice and writing style but also because of way the author packs it full of information about God's tender mercies. If you are looking for help in turning your sorrow into solace, On the Anvil is for you. It has my highest recommendation. Author, With Great Mercy
