This is but one of a series of books that giv an intersting history of quilts through the story of the people involved in the quilts. A fun and facinating book for quilters.

I've read several of this author's later books. The first three books really gave me a perspective and understanding of where it all started. I find the book easy to read and easy to pick back up after a few busy days. I'm having fun reading it.

I have fallen head over heals for the Elm Creek Quilters. Bought the first book, this one, on a whim because I was attempting my first quilt. Since then I have purchased the complete series and I am finishing the last book! My mom has come for a visit and she is en joying this book and I plan on passing them all on to her to read but she has to promise to return them for me to reread sometime!

What can I say? I truly enjoy all of the Elm Creek Quilt novels. I especially liked hearing about early California. It's almost like learning more about one's own family history because the characters in her novels become like family. Looking forward to reading more of Ms. Chiaverini's novels.
